Somewhere out there in south-eastern Europe, sprawls a chain of independent republics, which up to a short while ago belonged to the country of Yugoslavia. This country, that in the past was part of the eastern Soviet Bloc – went through one of the greatest transformations that came with the end of the Iron Curtain period, and its’ breakup into many smaller countries is a product of these historical transformations. Croatia and Slovenia are two of these republics. Due to their young age relative to their established European neighbors, they are not as well known, though it takes just one quick glance at its’ aerial photographs to be impressed, and to see that this region is the height of enchanting primeval scenery.
